SHOES! A selection of footwear from the Nevada State Museum's collection.
Some of these boots, shoes, slippers and sandals were collected because they were worn to a specific event or at a specific time in Nevada. Others were simply collected because they represented a certain style, material or construction. We are pleased to include over 100 pairs of shoes, arranged by decades which begin in the middle of the nineteenth century. Our exhibition ends in 1989 and we hope to continue collecting into the twenty-first century.
This exhibition was created by Landis Lee, Lara Mather, Mary Ellen Klette and Mary Works, under the direction of Jan Loverin.
THIS EXHIBIT HAS BEEN GENEROUSLY SPONSORED BY THE HORN BOHMONT FOUNDATION.
