The publication of the letters of the Grosh brothers, from 1849 to 1857, represents one of the most exciting recent benchmarks in the study of the California Gold Rush and the first years of mining in what would become Nevada. Historians Ron James and Bob Stewart edited the collection, just released by the University of Nevada Press in conjunction with the Nevada Historical Society. James and Stewart will read excerpts and discuss insights they have gained about the period after working with the documents.
