"Sage Painters" Art Show (8:30 am)

In “Sage Painters," local artists Hansen, Carstensen and Pfeiffer are featured at the Lost City Museum’s June exhibit

 Local artists Jan Hansen, Lucile Carstensen and Gayle Pfeiffer are featured at the Lost City Museum in June. In “Sage Painters," the three talented local artists share a love for art and the travels that have influenced their work.

Wild And Wonderful Wetlands (1:00 pm)

Family Fun Saturday, 1:00 - 3:30 pm: Learn how American Indians used plants from the wetlands for food, medicine, and clothing.

Discover what kinds of birds and animals use wetlands for their homes. Make a mini cattail duck to take home.

Admission: $8 for adults and free for members and children 17 and under. Tickets available at front desk starting at noon. Choose your 30 minute time slot for Discovery Lab or craft or both.

Behind The Scenes Tours In Natural History (10:00 am)

Join Curator of Natural History, Dr. George Baumgardner, for a tour "behind the scenes" to see natural history specimens not on display, get a sneak peak at the Discovery Lab, and learn more about future plans for natural history exhibit development.  Advanced registration is required and tours are limited to 6 people.  Regular admission fee: $8 for adults; FREE FOR MEMBERS AND CHILDREN 17 AND UNDER.  To reserve your space, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
