Latest Society News Docent Training Schedule 2013 The summer and fall docent training classes have not been scheduled yet. Each training class is scheduled from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Becoming one of the Society's docents is a wonderful way to meet like minded people, while helping preserve the states heritage. We have many different jobs available from working in our giftshop and front office, helping in our research library, working with kids and adults on gallery tours and outreach or working in our permanent collections: museum artifacts, photography, manuscripts and library collections.

The annual Fordham Awards Luncheon was a great success and was enjoyed by all. The staff would like to thank our docent council for their continued support at the Society. We truly appreciate all the hours donated this past year.
The Society has an amazing group of educational tour guides for school and adult tours of our history galleries. School tours are always free are what a great way to learn about Nevada's past. Are you a teacher, scout leader or work with kids? Have you thought about scheduling a tour? Our galleries are small so partnering up with the Fleischmann Planetarium is a great way for the kids to enjoy the tour and get two tours for the price of one. Don't forget that the Society is only open Wednesday thru Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
