|Family Fun Saturdays at Nevada State Museum|
By popular demand, Family Fun Saturdays at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, will continue on select weekends through summer. June 9 brings “Birds, Beaks and Feet” to the Discovery Lab from 1 to 3:30. Guests will explore the world of birds using the scientific method in an informal setting and see how birds use their beaks like tools to spear fish, suck nectar, crack nuts and catch insects. The hands-on nature program is aimed at children ages 6 to 11 interested in using microscopes and real specimens in a lab setting.
“Nevada Reptiles” is scheduled for July 14, along with a related art project. Programs are free with regular admission of $8 for adults.
