Lost City Museum Holiday Open House PDF Print

Overton, Nev. – Join the staff and volunteers of the Lost City Museum as they host a holiday open house December 4, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This free event features live entertainment and light refreshments will be served. The museum will be decorated in festive, holiday fashion.

A raffle will take place at 2:00 p.m. with the proceeds going towards community outreach programs held throughout the year. The raffle will include gift baskets which make great holiday offerings. Raffle tickets are six for $5 or $1 each and may be purchased until drawing time. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

During the event, the museum store will be open and stocked with a variety of unique items including Native American jewelry, crafts, books and much more.

Artwork by The Moapa Valley Art Guild will be on display. Their show entitled “Wonders of the West” features beautiful mixed media art-work by local artists.

Visitors are encouraged to bring family and friends to come out and enjoy the day at the historic Lost City Museum.

The Lost City Museum is open Thursday Through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Regular admission charge is $5.00 for adults, Children under 18 and members enter free.  The museum is located in Overton on State Route 169 off 1-15, exit #93 or via Lake Mead or the Valley of Fire.  For more information, call the museum at (702) 397-2193.
