Nevada State Museum, Carson City PDF Print

This is one of the earliest photos of the mint
in 1870, the year coin production began.

The caption reads: United States Branch Mint Carson, Nevada
(Nevada State Museum photo collection)

Coin Press No. 1, the original press from the Carson City MInt, still works.  Visitors can see it in operation the last Friday of every month and can purchase commemorative medallions with the famous CC mint mark at the press or in the Museum Store.
